A Fix-It Kit is a downloadable, step-by-step DIY guide created by ACME Home Services LLC to help you fix common home problems without waiting on a handyman. Each kit focuses on a specific “disaster” — clogged toilets, drywall holes, power outages, tech meltdowns, electrical issues, winter weather, and more.

💸 How much do Fix-It Kits cost?

Most Fix-It Kits are priced between $4.98 and $9.98. We also offer “Pay What You Want” kits through Gumroad so you can download them for free, toss in a tip, or come back later and support the work.

Every kit is a digital download you keep forever. Once you grab it, it’s yours to save, print, and use as many times as you need.

If you purchased via Gumroad, you can also re-download any time from your Gumroad account or receipt link. On ShopHenCo Books, your download link is sent straight to your inbox.

📱 Do I need any special tools or skills?

No special training required. If you can hold a wrench, read simple instructions, and stay calm when something drips, buzzes, or flashes, you’re ready.

Most kits use basic tools you probably already own. When a specific tool makes life easier, we call it out and often recommend one you can find on Amazon, Gumroad, or in a local hardware store.

For bigger projects or if you’re ever unsure about safety (especially with electricity or gas), we always recommend hiring a licensed pro. When in doubt, contact us and ask.

🏡 Is ACME Home Services a real business, too?

Yes. ACME Home Services LLC is a licensed, family-run home repair and maintenance business based in Las Vegas, NV, with over 30 years of hands-on experience.

We provide in-person home repair, maintenance, and small project services—see the Services page for details—and we created our Fix-It Kits so people everywhere can handle the small stuff themselves, especially when we can’t be there in person.

🔁 Do you offer refunds?

Because Fix-It Kits and books are digital downloads, we generally don’t offer refunds. Once a file is delivered, we can’t “take it back.”

That said, we stand behind what we make. If you have trouble accessing a file or feel like something is seriously off with a kit, email us at lvacmehi@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to make it right.

We’re constantly building new Fix-It Kits based on real problems we see in homes: leaking toilets, dead outlets, frozen pipes, broken appliances, and tech tantrums.

🔌 When should I call ACME instead of using a kit?

Great question. Fix-It Kits are designed for common, manageable problems you can safely handle on your own: minor leaks, drywall patching, toilet issues, basic electrical checks, rebooting tech, and winter prep.

You should contact a pro (us or another licensed contractor) when:

  • You smell gas, see sparks, or suspect a serious electrical problem
  • There’s major water damage, structural damage, or mold
  • You’re not comfortable or something “feels wrong” beyond the scope of a guide
